The day was spent picking up Francis's motorbike from Alcalá de Henares and sampling cheap but lovely Spanish lunches. In the evening we went to watch the Three Kings parade in Madrid, where they throw boiled sweets at you. Luckily we missed it, but my shoes were still sticking to the floor when I arrived back at Liverpool airport.
