After one more day milling about near Khao Lak, we took the Air Asia machine back to Kuala Lumpur, and spent a day there, where we managed to find a traditional cafe for lunch. Curry for two including (soft) drinks came to about £2!
Then it was a riveting twelve and a half hours on a 747 back to Heathrow. On the plus side, we had a window seat, so I could marvel at the size of the flaps and scare Debbie by pointing out all the other planes whizzing by. We also got to see India, Afghanistan, Russia and Poland, so I guess they're ticked off the list now too. Or maybe not.
