I'm not a morning person. As a result, I only ever see a sunrise if either a baby wakes me or I'm feeling queasy and have to get up, neither of which happens very often. In fact, I think the sunrise I witnessed on Tiree is probably only my third ever (it would be my fourth - my Mum dragged us out of bed and took us to the mountains in Switzerland at some ungodly hour when I was six, but it was foggy). So thanks to the man in the cafe that provided some dirty salad leaves with my vegetable pakoras (don't feel too bad, they were tasty, and there was no lasting damage).
Needless to say, by the time I'd woken up again at a proper hour, it was raining again, and so continued the rest of our stay. Summary? Pleasant, but a bit flat, and certainly not as sunny as they'd have you believe. Jura next year I think.
