The first set of photos from a trip to Lanzarote, including photos from a cactus garden near the villa and one of the highlights of the island, Islote De Hilario in Parque Nacional De Tamanfaya. Here, the might of a not particularly active volcano is surprisingly evident. A hole in the ground was hot enough to set fire to twigs and instantly and explosively boil water. Scraping around in the gravel upturned stones that were very hot, not that Megan seemed to notice. And the heat from a big hole in the ground over which the restaurant was grilling chicken was almost scary.
