Small Bedroom, October 2009 - A Bit Of A Mess!

Wallpaper Was Holding Plaster On Every Good Spare Bedroom Has Audio Output And 100 Megabit Ethernet Unstable Window Surround Fixed With Small Hole And A Tin Of Expanding Foam More Holes In Walls, Including Some I Created Myself New Hole Created To Allow Chimney To Be Blocked Off Without Removing Kitchen Other End Of Hosepipe Is In Airing Cupboard To Allow Extractor Cable To Be Fed Through Looking Down Chimney Onto Kitchen Units Looking Up Chimney To Jackdaw Nest

As now appears normal for this house, stripping the wallpaper resulted in quite a lot of plaster falling off too. There were already lots of holes in the walls due to the rewiring a few years ago, and once I'd made another hole in the chimney, the room looked a right mess. The extra hole was so I could block off the chimney into the kitchen without having to remove the kitchen. Yes, I should have done it before I put the kitchen in, but I didn't, and ever since then the jackdaws have been dropping all sorts of things into the kitchen. The left hand chimney opening had blocked up again, and apart from one dead baby jackdaw and a pile of dust, I found out where all the stale bread me and the neighbours throw out to the birds ends up! I even recognised some crusts as those from my early attempts at bread. Eventually, the wiring for the extractor fan will run from the airing cupboard down the chimney, hence the bit of hosepipe to allow it to be threaded through.
