Richard and Will's Dad and uncle kindly drove us to Land's End this morning. What a tacky place... After listening to Richard telling us the grave news that John O'Groats was pretty much the same only much more remote, we set off into the warm, dull and muggy day, wondering just quite what the point of this exercise might be. We also met a few other cyclists doing the same thing. If I'd realised how common Land's End to John O'Groats was, I'd have suggested something else! We had a nice lunch at Will's parents house (Hotel Huggins), and then set off with our full camping load. The pain started at 60 miles. I realised at this point that maybe on the job training wasn't the best approach...
