We made it! Will seemed very excited today, and I had to keep telling him to slow down. Today was the best day of cycling so far, or possibly ever! The couple of one in seven hills that we were faced with disappeared like they weren't there - that's how fit we are now! Glorious sunshine and warm all day. Coastline rugged, water and sky crystal clear. John O'Groats is barren, bleak, windswept and cold but still sunny. Not quite as much tat as Lands End (you lied to me Richard). Terminal velocity of my bike appears to be 44 mph. Must invent aerodynamic panniers and a way of getting rid of cars that slow down for corners... Legs suddenly hurt like hell! It's like they know it's ok to complain now. Absolutely delighted my knees held out the distance.

Visiting Orkney tomorrow.
Nick

Hurrah! Finished! 1034 miles and the last day was the best - sun, cycling and now a cool beer! It's been a great two weeks, hard work but very rewarding. I'd like to thank Nick for all the encouragement he's given me over the past two weeks, it helped a lot when facing some of those big hills! Thanks for everyone's support and sponsorship.
Will
